Property Taxes: REFORM IS REAL, RELIEF IS HERE

committees to examine different areas of the property tax problem and
propose solutions.

• Are delivering a 20% property tax credit for a vast majority of New
Jersey homeowners.

• Have approved far-reaching measures to provide both immediate and
long-term tax relief.

Public Safety

The Senate Democrats, among other accomplishments:

• Have passed legislation that protects our homeland, protects our children and families and protects our streets.

• Passed first-in-the-nation chemical plant security measures.

• Hired 100 additional New Jersey state troopers.

• Initiated use of GPS technology to protect children from sex offenders.

• Established a task force to recommend the best strategies for coping with street gangs.

Stem Cell Research: REVOLUTIONIZING MEDICINE IN OUR OWN BACKYARD

The Senate Democrats:

• Believe investments in stem cell research are a medical, moral and economic imperative.

• Authored the law allocating $270 million in funding to build a world-class stem cell institute and several other biomedical research centers throughout New Jersey.

• Passed legislation authorizing another $230 million in grant funding to support long-term cell research projects.
